Soon after the mesh was complete, it was textured by another very talented artist, Tithis String, whom is another artist whose passion then lied with merfolk-related content.

I thank you once again for your continued patience and understanding.Īnd now for the star of update 1.3 Beta: the Sea Serpent tail! As a commission, this tail was originally created for Second Life many years ago by a very talented 3D artist called CaptnPower Codesmith. If there is enough demand for it, I will indeed create that potion dispenser regardless.

Unfortunately, I just don't yet have a clue how to make that possible with my limited Oblivion modding knowledge. It would have been easy enough to create a potion dispenser ready for anyone and everyone to consume, but I ultimately decided I want becoming a Melusine to be a rewarding experience. I apologize to say that this feature has been delayed indefinitely. With 1.3 Beta, it was originally planned to implement a means of becoming a mermaid or merman without using the console. Now, to acknowledge the troll in the dungeon.

Once those have been implemented, and nothing else will be considered WIP, this mod will no longer be in beta.
This is mostly due to the lack of battle animations. Now, to explain the addition of "beta" into the version number, I finally came to the conclusion that it was most appropriate to do so, due to the incomplete-yet-fully-playable state of this mod. Please take the time to look at his mods, as they bring many quality-of-life improvements to the game, among other things! (I personally cannot play Oblivion without his Pocket Dimension Player Home, as well as his Stop Combat Hotkey mods.) Please allow me to rant a bit about this update.īut first, I'd like to give a shout out to ZuTheSkunk! Not only is he a very talented modder, he is also very kind and helpful! It is thanks to ZuTheSkunk that the implementation of a Melusine potion is happening. With summer arriving very soon, it is my hope that inspiration to create more content for this mod will flow through me. I hope y'all will enjoy them! You have my sincerest thanks for your patience, as I am fully aware I take a very long time to contribute to this mod. Happy 31st of MerMay, everyone! Today I finally bring to you update 1.3 Beta of Melusine - A Merfolk Race Mod! Although admittedly a very small update, I believe the implementation of the new Sea Serpent mermaid tail, as well as the Coolsims hairstyles, bump the quality of this mod quite a bit. But if that's the case, do you think that it's possible that if Kara and the originally Human!Alice successfully made it across the river, Kara might have had to perform CPR on Alice after pulling her own of the water? And that is why there's a momentary pause where Alice doesn't respond to Kara's calls in the River Route ending where they both survive? And that scene would look like a shot-for-shot redux of this scene between Shaun and Ethan at the end of Heavy Rain? And that's because her other two endgames have aspects that are dependent on the main Jericho plotline that she was sloppily inserted into sometime during development, while the River Route is not only set up as her intended endgame in Midnight Train but also is the only Kara ending to explicitly have concept art dedicated to it. Well, I've got this theory that since Kara's story was written first, the River Route was likely the original ending of her formerly linear and independent storyline. Maybe things might have been different in an early version of the script, but in the game we got, DBH's is a massive step backwards in comparison to Heavy Rain's.Įthan's performing CPR on his kid and. Kara's off doing her own thing again (only being impacted by Markus's decisions if she goes down a specific route), Markus is fighting his own fight or is dead and dooming the game to a dead end narrative, and Connor's just waiting around to be Markus's boss battle or ending his story with flashy army reveal that does nothing to affect the flowchart. In comparison, Crossroads through Battle for Detroit feels really disjointed. It also feels like the chapter could go very differently if any one of these characters didn't make it to the end, let alone more than that. Shaun's getting his kid to safety, Norman's bringing down the Origami Killer, and Madison is proving Ethan's innocence.
You know, I hate to say it, but I like Heavy Rain's endgame crossover chapter more than I like DBH's as it feels like all the 'hero' POVs are working together for a common goal using their own unique skill sets.
